Hawaii Wish List!

In late March, I will be visiting my sweet little Sandra for her Spring Break and I haven't even done any shopping for this trip, yet! (Gasp!) So, I thought I would start with a quick little wish list. Picking what to wear on vacation is almost funner than Christmas shopping! The following are things I have been eyeing, either to buy or as inspiration for the trip.

1.)
A gorgeous green dress, à la SJP on Elle's January 2011 cover.

SJP is wearing Halston Heritage. Here are two similar finds:
This one is by Alice+Olivia
and actually looks great in
red, too!
This one is from Anthropologie and is
Emerald Wicklow Dress by Deletta

2.)
Next—I don't really like backpacks at all but I've been seeing some very cute ones crop up lately, and they would certainly be handy while on vacation when you have a lot of things to lug around (camera, towel, magazines, iPod, sunscreen...etc).

I usually use a beach bag or weekender, but backpacks have zippers, side pockets, and special little compartment, rendering them a lot more functional than a floppy open bag. And on this vacation, I plan to be as organized as possible. And no, other than a backpack like the ones below, I will not be including anything "cargo." Bleg.

Tory Burch

Tierney Nylon Backpack

Heschel Supply Co. - Little America Backpack

Urban Outfitters - Will Canvas & Leather Surplus Backpack

3.)
A bustier top. Not sure why but I have been coveting bustier tops lately. I can't decide between subtle and feminine or downright noticeable. Here are a few good ones.

Hype - Silk Bustier Top

Herve Leger - Geometric Jacquard Dress

Parker - Strapless Top

4.
A beach cover up.  This one caught my eye and I don't even want to compare it to anything (okay, maybe just one) else because it's just so pretty and I just plain WANT IT.

Diane von Furstenberg - Azurah Cover up Dress

5.)
Sandals. Okay, I know these are not realllly sandals, but c'mon, I have short legs and anyone who knows me knows I own at most two pairs of flat shoes. And no one is really even supposed to know that! ;)

Gucci - Leather Studded Sandals

Barbara Bui - Stitched Pump

6.)
Swim. I love when the Victoria's Secret catalog comes in with all the swimsuits, especially when they incorporate all the other designers and alternative brands. I'm all about the monokini this year, but in the interest of tan lines, I will try to stay in a bikini.

Very Sexy - W ireless Pushup Monokini

Cia Maritima - Croco Monokini

Missoni -  Maiori Halter-neck Bikini

Can't wait to go! Hope everyone had a nice weekend and is planning a much-needed vacation soon as well.

Aw I'm sure you'll have much fun and even more if you'll end up getting a pretty monokini :D

The Anthropologie dress is gorgeous! The one on the left is pretty too, but I don't think that neckline would look so well on us well-endowed ladies. You know what I mean. Let the girls breathe!

I'm sorry, but every time I see SJP, all I can picture is Matt and Trey's depiction of her on South Park.: http://static.entertainmentwise.com/photos/Image/430sjpsouthpark.jpg I know it's mean, but it's kind of dead-on.

I think you took care of item five. Those sandals you had on a couple of weeks ago are prettier than the two you posted.

I lurve the backpacks! You should get me a knock-off for my birthday. :D It would solve my perpetual dilemma of wanting to carry a fashionable bookbag, but missing the comfort of a backpack.

So how are you doing on the list? The date of your trip draws near, so I'm assuming you've done all your shopping already. Maybe you should write another post showing what you actually got. :)
